E-Learning in the Fire Service Symposium

Creating Your Own Podcast!

Join us for the second annual ISFSI E-Learning in the Fire Service Symposium:  Learning to Make Your Own Podcast.   The Symposium—co-sponsored by the Volunteer/Combination Officers Section of the IAFC and TargetSafety will provide you with the tools needed to confidently develop new training content for e-learning platforms.  Over the course of two days, you’ll learn how to create your own podcast by selecting the correct production gear, writing an effective script, and producing it.  You’ll also have the opportunity to develop and present a podcast while at the event.

Throughout the Symposium, these fire service experts will introduce you to new and innovative ways to make your training dollars stretch by podcasting:

• Peter Prochilo, Online Editor, www.fireengineering.com

• Rob Maloney, Coolwater Productions, Fire Engineering Videos, FDIC Main Program

• Brian Scott, Miami Township Fire Department, Podcast Producer

• Steve Pegram, Xenia Fire Department, Host of the ISFSI’s podcast, “The Voice”

  1. Eddie Buchanan, ISFSI President and Producer of “The Voice”

  2. Bill Britt, Midnight Sound Productions, “Lost,” “The Real World,” “Road Rules”

Preceding each event, there will be a TargetSafety Users’ Group.
